Dory is a dedicated criminal law solicitor with experience across both criminal and civil law.
His legal journey began in 2020 with the Aboriginal Legal Service, where he supported Indigenous communities. He then moved to private practice at Armstrong Legal, working alongside accredited criminal law specialists, and later joined Gerard Malouf and Partners to gain further expertise in Medical Negligence, Institutional Abuse, and Public Liability. This diverse background enables Dory to approach each case with a comprehensive and strategic mindset.
Dory has also contributed significantly to the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide, serving as an Associate to notable figures, including the Honourable James Douglas KC and Nick Kaldas APM. He worked closely with Senior Counsel and junior barristers, refining his advocacy skills and gaining valuable insight into high-profile investigations.
In 2021, Dory’s team won the Western Sydney University Witness Examination Competition, and he completed an advanced Advocacy course under the Honourable David Collier in 2022. His passion for advocacy is further enriched by his commitment to ongoing learning, often drawing inspiration from esteemed legal authors such as Bryan A. Garner and Chester Porter QC.
