Cidney Jenkins

Solicitor | Criminal Law

Cidney is a solicitor in Conditsis Lawyers’ criminal law team. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Sociology & Anthropology), and completed her Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the University of Newcastle in 2022, before being admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in February 2023.

Before joining Conditsis, Cidney spent three years with another firm in their criminal law team. She also worked as a Graduate Solicitor with the Department of Social Services in Canberra, advising on matters under the National Redress Scheme, and earlier as a paralegal with the Aboriginal Legal Service in Newcastle.

Cidney has appeared regularly in the Local and District Courts across the Newcastle, Hunter, Central Coast and Sydney regions, with experience in defended hearings, disputed facts hearings, complex sentence matters, bail and release applications, section 14 applications, and instructing in District Court trials.

Cidney felt compelled to pursue a career in criminal law after her own experience serving as a juror, which gave her a firsthand appreciation for the vital role solicitors play in helping clients navigate the complex legal system. She brings a client-focused, results-driven approach to every matter she handles.
